History of Kinesiology

Where did kinesiology come from?

Kinesiology was developed in the early sixties by an American chiropractor, Dr George Goodheart, who used muscle testing to evaluate muscle performance.

He then widened its scope and went on to create a unique health care system called Applied Kinesiology that he taught to fellow chiropractors and Health Professionals.

John Thie D.C. saw that the information taught here, in a simplified form, could be a tool that the layperson could use to improve their well-being. This is now taught world wide as Touch for Health.

Kinesiology has now come full circle. The Touch for Health syllabus taught today can become the basis for a professional career in the complementary health field.
