Nutritional Testing
Thur – Fri 26 – 27 February
In this workshop we show you how to use specific muscle tests, organ reflexes, Riddler points, and circuit locating of specific body tissues to determine your body’s nutritional needs. Are those nutrients absent from the diet, or present but your body is sensitive or allergic to them? If the body needs several nutrients, which are superior and what are the minimum number to balance the body, and how much of each nutrient does the body want? Which imbalances are related to toxicity? What about toxic air? How does one do such muscle testing with young children and pets?
Prerequisite: TFH 2
Sleep Workshop
Sun – Mon 1 – 2 March.
As people get older sleep becomes more and more of an issue. People have difficulty falling asleep, or staying sleep, or they have restless sleep. Then we have restless leg syndrome, sleep apnoea, people falling asleep during the day time, etc. In the course we look at sleep and our circadium rhythms, how sleep gets disrupted. Then we look at aging, the sleep environment, sensitivity to sugar, the impact of caffeine, chocolate, medication, blue light, etc. We then examine the various nutrients, neurotransmitters, amino acids, and hormones that play a role in the sleep cycle. We examine herbs, homeopathics and foods that can help restore sleep quality. Also acupressure points. Finally we look at the various parts of the brain – hypothalamus, cerebral cortex, pineal, pons, thalamus, kidneys and their influence on sleep.
Prerequisite: one of the following -Nutritional Testing, Allergies or Immune System workshop
